City celebrates Canada’s 148th birthday with free event
As Canada celebrates 148 years and the flag that unites this country turns 50, the City of Vaughan is hosting its annual flagship Canada Day event. The festivities take place on Wednesday, July 1, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mackenzie Glen District Park, 220 Cranston Park Ave. This year’s Juno Award winner for Pop Album of the Year, Lights, will headline the celebrations with a concert at 6:30 p.m.
The City is also running a contest where four lucky Vaughan residents and their guests will get a special concert experience and meet Lights before the show. Until 11:59 p.m. on June 26, residents can enter by submitting a photo of themselves with a Canada flag. For more information, please visit the contest page.
