Ten-day mission aims to increase trade and build new relationships

The City of Vaughan hosted an information session with more than 50 business representatives yesterday and announced that it is leading an innovative business mission to China in October. As part of the City’s International Business Development Program, the primary goal of this mission is to develop trade relationships in China and establish Vaughan as a preferred location for Chinese investments.

The Chinese domestic market is diverse and expanding rapidly. Recognizing it can be a challenge for small- or medium-sized businesses to tap into this growing market, this mission will help to identify appropriate market entry strategies. The team will work with participants to develop strategic partnerships with Chinese companies, provide expertise on entering the Chinese market and help to set up cost effective distribution channels.
