Vaughan now conducting wet interviews for lifeguard and instructor positions
Last week, the Recreation and Culture department’s aquatic team, in partnership with other York Region municipalities, hosted #YRACspringthing2015 at the Vellore Village Community Centre. More than 150 lifeguards, instructors and aquatic staff from municipalities across the GTA and beyond participated in wet and dry professional development workshops.
- Lessons learned: talking about aquatic incidents in our communities
- Latin American drumming jam and team-building session
- Cool water workout: SUP (stand-up paddle boarding) courtesy of Makai Paddle Surf

The City of Vaughan operates Ontario’s sixth largest lifesaving program, fifth largest leadership training program and eighth largest first aid program … and we’re always hiring!
