Vaughan strengthens economic development with U.S. exporting event

Experts showcase the advantages of cross-border business

As a gateway to economic activity, the City of Vaughan is fostering stronger relationships with the United States in an effort to help local entrepreneurs expand their reach.

Today Vaughan hosted a workshop sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade, and Deloitte, in partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service, Toronto, to provide opportunities for local businesses to learn about market entry and expansion to the U.S. through investment and other strategies. Entrepreneurs learned how to explore the benefits of exporting and importing through various programs and services.

The seminar focused on the building/construction sector, which includes environmental products and services that are in demand by the U.S. market. The U.S. construction market will remain the largest and most important international market for Ontario exports of building products and technologies.
